Project
final report & the future
As part of the Ythan Project's European funding, two final reports
were submitted to the European Commission in April 2005. The first
of these was a 'layman's report' which was designed to present the
work of the project in an easily accessible format. The report is an
A5 sized colour brochure, which includes information and photos on
all aspects of the project's work.
The report is too large to be downloadable, but copies can be obtained
by contacting Aberdeenshire Council
The second report was a full technical and financial report, which
enabled the European Commission to assess the project's work and to
ensure that all the required tasks had been completed. Many of the
individual sub-reports which made up this document can be downloaded
from the publications page of this website, but if you would like to
receive a copy of the full technical report, please contact Aberdeenshire
Council.
With the ending of the European funding for the Ythan Project, various
changes took place. The project staff have moved onto work elsewhere,
but some of the volunteers who were involved in the project are keen
to continue the project's work. They have set themselves up as an independent
group, the 'Ythan Project Volunteers', and are continuing to work on,
in and around the River Ythan. If you'd like to catch up with what
they're doing now, please contact Aberdeenshire
Council, who will pass
on your request.
